TSA Lock

TSA Lock

Our bags are equipped with a Travel Sentry™ combination lock that allows airport screening to unlock, inspect and relock bags without damaging the bag or the lock.

Only customs have access to the keys to the locks, and therefore it is important that you write down your code to avoid breaking open the lock and replacing it. Note that the warranty does not apply to broken locks.

Set your code

All bags from EPIC are equipped with a TSA lock and instructions are always included in the bag when purchased. The code is always set to 0-0-0 at the time of purchase. If you cannot find the instructions for your bag, we have listed some of them here for you. The locks may differ between collections. To find the right instruction for your bag, we have listed them bag by bag below.

Forgot your code?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer any keys for the lock as these are only intended for airport customs.

If you want to try to unlock the bag yourself, you need to try all possible combinations of numbers, from 0-0-0, 0-0-1, 0-0-2 etc. up to 9-9-9. As soon as the correct sequence has been found, you can open the bag and set a new code. It takes approximately 45 minutes to go through all the number combinations. Usually you find the right combination before that.

If you're in a hurry and need to get into the bag quickly, you can break it open by cutting the zipper pullers. Please note that broken locks are not covered by the warranty. However, you can buy a new lock and zipper pullers in case of an accident. To replace a lock, usually only a screwdriver is required.

Remember to always write down and save your code in order to avoid these accidents in the future.

Good luck!
